The Lehigh Valley League proposes to offer a higher competitive level of play for baseball players at the Biddy, Midget, and Knee-Hi Levels in the Lehigh Valley.

Our Lehigh Valley League Try Out Sessions are open to all interested players.  Last season LVL Players are not exempt from the try-out session for the present season of play.

Coplay Sports utilizes individuals for LVL Tryouts who possess a varied, extensive background in playing, coaching, and instructing the game of Baseball.  Teams are created solely by scored achievement, displayed attitude and character qualities, coupled with number of seasons played at Coplay Sports.  Teams are not coach-picked.

All Coplay Sports LVL try-outs are to typically held in the following manner:

We recommend arriving with ample time to spare so your player isn't feeling rushed.

*  NO CLEATS
*  WEAR LONG PANTS
*  HAVE ALL EQUIPMENT:  BAT, GLOVE, BATTING HELMET
*  IF YOU ARE A CATCHER, BRING ALL GEAR.

Please make sure to come dressed appropriately for the weather should the session be held outdoors.

Players should maintain focus on the skills being judged during the entire try-out.  Fooling around (flipping bottles, horse play, etc) and displayed poor attitude traits will result in a lower score.

BE HONEST.  Coplay Sports reserves the right to inquire about intent to play travel baseball.  The number of expressed intent affects the amount accepted for play on our roster.  While it will not affect your player's initial placement, with-holding information could affect other players vying for a position.   Historically, travel ball schedules conflict greatly with the LVL framework.  Therefore, there are times when a need to pull numbers that will cover an absence of a travel ball player to prevent fines incurred through forfeiture is a necessity.

IMPORTANT:  If your player is not able to attend the tryout date TBD, please let us know so we can give you an alternate date.

Placement typically takes several days.  Rest assured, the wait is a result of the highest consideration being given to each player.  Roster numbers at any level often have a far-reaching affect across several age levels.  Everything is considered and decisions are made in terms of what is best for the organization as a whole.

The best way to prepare your player for LVL tryouts is to remember that it's up to your player to make the team.  How a parent reacts to the tryout process will directly affect the impact on a player's attitude before, during, and after the tryout session.  Parent stress = player stress; players that are stressed generally do not perform well.  Take a breather, go for a walk/run, bring something to read.  Your player has a much better chance of playing up to their highest capabilities if their support system is calm and steady.
